| Monday - We had 15mins of silent reading and then reviewed 20 Techniques of persuasive language. This handout was given to each student for a reference. We then reviewed a powerpoint that was an introduction to persuasive writing. |

| Tuesday to Wednesday, we dissected the murder trial of Sponge Bob Square Pants. The students had a lot of fun with this and it taught them how to be persuasive. They worked in groups and we assigned as the prosecution of defense on the case. They had to use all the evidence to present a case. In their closing argument, they had t use at least 3 types of persuasive writing techniques. Please have a look at the case for further information. |
